◄اسم یا تمام است و محتاج به کلمه ی دیگر نیست: درس , تاب ، مرغ ، جلد ، باغ ، خانه
◄یا نا تمام است و معنی آن به کلمه ی دیگر تمام شود: درسِِ امروز ، کتابِ محمد , مرغ ِ هوا ، جلد‌ِ کتاب ، باغ ِ دبستان
◄اسمی که دارای متمم است «مضاف » و متمم آن را مضافٌ الیه می نامند.
♥ درخت ِ دوستی بنشان که کام ِ دل به بار آرد نهال ِ دشمنی بر کن که رنج ِ بیشمار آرد (حافظ)
◄متمم گاهی یکی است و گاهی متعدد.
♥1- زنگ ِ درس ، تاج ِ خروس ، نیش ِ کژدم
♥2- در ِ باغ ِ بهارستان ، خزانهء دولت ایران

آمریکا دست اندر کار اقدامات تجاوز کارانه علیه بسیاری از کشورهاست.( ٭اقدامات تجاوز)
3. In many Latin American countries individual rights are suppressed.
در بسیاری از کشورهای آمریکای لاتین حقوق افراد پایمال می شود.( ٭آمریکای لاتینی- حقوق فردی)
4. Increased military aids is vital to their defense.
افزایش کمکهای نظامی برای دفاع آنها اهمیت حیاتی دارد.( ٭ کمکهای نظامی افزایش یافته )
